I recently discovered a fan-ta-bu-lous wedding videographer resource while checking out Bride & Soul’s hot new site. If they aren’t already, put Three Ring Media on your radar! This husband-wife duo is based in Atlanta but also work their magic for weddings in DC and NYC (and might travel to other locations as well for the right $). Their videos are shot using Blu-Ray technology so everything looks crisp and the colors are vibrant. But what really impressed me was the personalized storytelling approach they bring to their craft. Think Tie the Knot Tuesdays on film. Check out these two (Janelle & Travis made me cry!): [Read more...]

Last Monday night, the annual MET Gala took place and this year there seemed to be an influx of brown faces on the red carpet. Of course this is just perfect for Triple B! Sadly attending this
fashion event is still on my life’s bucket list but I’m giving you the 411 on what gowns are wedding-day worthy anyhow as I did last year. Shout out to the lovely ladies over at The Glamazons blog for their on-point (and hilarious) commentary. Enjoy the eye candy!
Hola! As you finalize your weekend plans (and pick up those last-minute gifts for the mothers in your life) be sure you schedule in movie time for Jumping the Broom. Triple B, please support the film this weekend. I was blessed to attend an advance screening but I still plan to see it again in the theater because I want more films like it to see the light of day. Feel free to revisit my spoiler-free review here.
After you’ve watch the flick, come back and tell me what you thought in the comments — good, bad or indifferent!
The winners of the fab Minx giveaway with celebrity manicurist Lisa Logan have been selected! If you recall, I asked the Triple B audience to answer this question: As an upcoming (or former) bride, what beauty element are you or were you most concerned with for your wedding day? Check out the responses from the winners below that scored them this awesome prize. [Read more...]

Our friends over at Black and Married with Kids are preparing to wrap up a pretty exciting exercise called The Be a Better Spouse Challenge. If you’re married or are about to be and it isn’t already on your radar, please take note. Just reading through the challenges that have already taken place like writing an impromptu love letter or engaging in his/her favorite activity seem so fun! And don’t worry, none of the challenges are time-sensitive so you can and should certainly still get in on the fun. Why not start from the beginning and work your way forward? If you and your wife or husband decide to join in, be sure to let the folks over at BMWK know that Triple B sent ya. (The best thing about this challenge is there are no losers, only winners!)

I know, I know…You’re over the Royal Wedding or perhaps were never into it. Unlike most bridal blogs, Triple B has been mum on the “wedding of the century” until now. The reasons why are pretty obvious. But realistically whether you like it or not, everyone (yes, everyone) who is in a wedding for the next twenty-plus years will be influenced in some capacity by the nuptials of Will and Kate. Because guess what? Even if you couldn’t care less, your vendors certainly do. So, below are Triple B’s top 6 bridal trends from the Royal Wedding:
