My BFF who has been married for eight years and counting misplaced her wedding band a few years ago and it obviously caused her a considerable amount of angst — but truthfully I think I was more concerned than she was. Said friend took her ring off while doing some housework and the ring didn’t resurface until months later. A former co-worker accidentally washed her engagement ring down the drain. Yikes! Although her hubby was pissed, he eventually purchased a new one for her and their marriage is still in tact. I am willing to bet both of these women wish they had a CareRing to prevent these mishaps.

At last week’s bridal speed dating event hosted by Fallon Carter Weddings, I learned of a neat company that produces super chic cake/cupcake toppers called La Bella Vita Designs. LVB Designs was started by New Orleans native Ashley Cook who has a self-proclaimed penchant for all things fabulous.

I recently traveled to Baltimore, Maryland to attend the launch of a fabulous new shoe line, Nael Coce. Nael Coce is the brainchild of PhD (yeah, you read that correctly) student, Sheena Young. Sheena’s mission was to create a line of footwear that was both fashionable and functional. This line actually offers “convertible” shoes — a pair of comfy ballet flats and pumps in one. Wedding Day Hair Drama: Natural versus Straight

When I decided to address the issue of brides wearing their hair kinky, curly, wavy, twisted and in locs for their wedding day I knew I was signing myself up to receive very strong opinions.
