Amar'e Stoudemire of the NY Knicks pops the question in Paris!
NBA superstar Amar’e Stoudemire is taking family to the next level. Perhaps he got a little peer pressure from his basketball buddies Chris Paul and LeBron James…Regardless, Amar’e Stoudemire has proposed to his sweetie Alexis Welch. Welch, his longtime girlfriend and the mother of the couple’s three children said “yes” to Amar’e's proposal this past weekend in Paris, France. The New York Knicks Captain “put a ring on it” with an 8.5 ct., $1million sparkler. The diamond ring, set in white gold with a classic edge, was designed by celebrity jeweler Shayan Afshar. The Los Angeles- based jeweler was told to give the ring a modern look, not allowing the setting to take away from the stone. Stoudemire, wanting the ring to speak romance, took his time in designing it, as well as, choosing his location to execute the surprise. Nothing gets more romantic than receiving a proposal overlooking the Parisian skyline; the Eiffel Tower to be exact. No word just yet on whether the couple has set a date for their nuptials but Triple B will keep you in the loop on any updates!
