While checking out the Jimmy Choo Bridal Boutique online this week, I was left completely underwhelmed. But then I decided to take a look at the Bridesmaid Collection and met Melody above. Isn’t she stunning? I quite enjoy seeing brides wear edgy metallic shoes with their romantic gowns instead of predictable white styles. Melody oozes sexy and mixing silver and gold is super fun and modern. She’ll set you back a cool $895 — gasp! — but some brides are willing to pay that price and even more for bridal footwear. (I’m not one of them…) However if you happen to be one of them, enjoy. If not, use this post as inspiration and find a similar but much less expensive pair at a resource like Nina.
This post also teaches us all a very valuable lesson. Sometimes, what is marketed as “bridal” is not what most tickles our aesthetic fancy. Don’t be afraid to shop for wedding accessories the same places you shopped before getting engaged. Many a fashionable bride (Remember Breanne’s reception stilettos?) scored awesome jewelry, shoes, etc. this way.
Do you like the Jimmy Choo Melody style? What is the most you would pay for your own wedding shoes?
