Tie the Knot Tuesday – Victoria & Brenden

Triple B Presents: The Alexanders of South Carolina

Bride: Victoria Cash Alexander
Groom: Brenden Alexander
Homebase: South Carolina
Wedding Date: December 1, 2012
Wedding Location: ceremony and reception: Hilton Hotel, Greenville, South Carolina

Today’s Tie the Knot Tuesday is in the form of a video trailer. It was submitted by Andrea Bostic, a cousin of the couple who happens to be a professional video producer and editor. Bostic explained that a village came together to ensure Victoria and Brendan had a wedding to remember. The bride’s uncle gifted their wedding cake. Brenden’s brother gifted the photographer. Victoria’s co-worker gifted the wedding planner. And Bostic provided her services as a wedding gift to capture the below video. Isn’t that beautiful? Oh and the couple was more than deserving of this generosity. After meeting through mutual friends and dating for a year and a half, Victoria and Brenden became an official item. But it was after Brenden’s mother died suddenly from pancreatic cancer when he realized Victoria was his wife. These newlyweds and their one-year old daughter Kayden remind us all that our tests truly do give us a testimony and there are still some folks that believe in the power of community.

    2. Bridgette Bridgette says:

@Mommy – Glad you enjoyed! Family and friends selflessly pitching in for this couple’s wedding is the biggest takeaway of the post in my opinion.

    3. Mother of the Bride Ms. Gwendolyn Cash says:

A Blessing for Wedding from Mom

      Today when persimmons ripen
Today when fox-kits come out of their den into snow
Today when the spotted egg releases its wren song
Today when the maple sets down its red leaves
Today when windows keep their promise to open
Today when fire keeps its promise to warm
Today when someone you love has died
or someone you never met has died
Today when someone you love has been born
or someone you will not meet has been born
Today when rain leaps to the waiting of roots in their dryness
Today when starlight bends to the roofs of the hungry and tired
Today when someone sits long inside his last sorrow
Today when someone steps into the heat of her first embrace
Today, let this light bless you
With these friends let it bless you
With snow-scent and lavender bless you
Let the vow of this day keep itself wildly and wholly
Spoken and silent, surprise you inside your ears
Sleeping and waking, unfold itself inside your eyes
Let its fierceness and tenderness hold you
Let its vastness be undisguised in all your days
