Triple B Founder Bridgette Bartlett
Born and raised in Queens, New York Bridgette Bartlett began working in media while still in college where she served as the Queens section editor for Columbia University’s Inside New York. She is a graduate of New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology and holds a certificate in journalism from New York University. She has also studied fashion marketing and journalism in London, England.
Bartlett is an award-winning writer/editor and an editorial contributor for Essence, Heart & Soul, Juicy, People and Uptown magazines. For eight years, she served in various editorial positions at Essence Communications. Her expertise is fashion, beauty and lifestyle. During her career, Bartlett has interviewed notables such as Alicia Keys, LeBron James, Heidi Klum, Patti LaBelle, Steve Harvey and Rachel Zoe. While at Essence, she covered the nuptials of real people and celebrities weekly for the bridal feature which she started on the magazine’s site. Under her direction it became one of the site’s most viewed franchises. She also contributed to the magazine’s “Will You Marry Me?” campaign for three consecutive years. In addition, she was responsible for the widely popular Michelle Obama Daily Diary; another groundbreaking traffic franchise. Bartlett has written for a host of publications such as Delta Sky, Gospel Today (where she penned her style column), Real Simple, and Vibe. The self-proclaimed “bridal junkie” has provided her style expertise as a communications consultant to fashion designers in the New York City area as well.
Since launching Triple B in April 2010, Bartlett has provided her bridal expertise to several media outlets including AOL Black Voices, The Atlanta Post and BlackEnterprise.com.
Bartlett also regularly works with youth in NYC through motivational speaking and mentoring.
