Cake tasting has definitely been a highlight of the wedding planning process. Admit it: Either you, your sorority sister or co-worker is always on the hunt for a new bakery for someone’s bridal shower, wedding or anniversary celebration. And who couldn’t benefit from having another fab cupcake resource on their radar? For Triple B’s Cupcakes, Cocktails & Conversation in Harlem last month, the yummy cupcakes were provided by Sydney’s Sweets and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The red velvet with cream cheese frosting were my favorite but Sydney’s Sweets also has more creative flavor options like peanut butter and jelly, pina colada and caramel white chocolate. I first learned of the fab bakery Creme Delicious while at the wedding of Chris and Jada Paul. The couple had a traditional white multi-tier cake but mid-way through the reception guests were treated to individual cakes similar to those above. At last week’s bridal speed dating event hosted by Fallon Carter Weddings, I learned of a neat company that produces super chic cake/cupcake toppers called La Bella Vita Designs. LVB Designs was started by New Orleans native Ashley Cook who has a self-proclaimed penchant for all things fabulous.
