I am a huge stationery fan. It all began when my father purchased personalized stationery for me when I was about 7 or 8 years old. I even worked a part-time job at a very high-end British stationery and small leather goods boutique as an adult. Oh and guess what else? I dabble in calligraphy (another hobby I owe to my father). So much so that one of my girlfriends paid me to address her wedding invitations. Add to all of this that I’m a bridal blogger and let’s just say that the pressure to have “THE BOMB” invitation suite was a bit daunting. Okay, it was very daunting. [Read more…]

Once we had the guest list finalized, it was time to choose our invitation suite. Early on in the planning process I attended a bridal event at a stationery store. All of the talk about letterpress and typeset made me realize that Mr. DrummerBoy and I would not be going the traditional wedding stationery route. After browsing several different styles, we decided on the Love Story design above (picture from Pinterest). [Read more…]
Since I’m preparing to send out my Save-the-Dates in the coming weeks (WOO HOO!), I thought this post was timely. Recently a Triple B reader in Atlanta (a groom-to-be) expressed an interest in receiving more scoop on wedding invitation designs. I was eager to help the brother out, especially because I have adored stationery since I was an itty bitty girl. Plus it warms my heart to witness a man happily involved in the planning of his nuptials. So Arthur in ATL, I hope this makes life for you and the soon-to-be Mrs. a little less stressful.
