Don’t you hate attending an outdoor affair like a wedding — dressed to the nines in your Sunday Best — and your heels sink into the grass, dirt, etc. It absolutely sucks! Plus, it can ruin your shoes. Until recently, the only real way around this was wearing wedges. But, check this out! [Read more...]
The last couple of weeks have been draining. There was Hurricane Sandy (those of us in the Northeast U.S. are still feeling her devastation), the anticipation of the presidential election outcome and just the day to day ups and downs of life. So, I decided to share a little eye candy on Triple B today for the heck of it. Call it a visual pick-me-up. I recently came across the above Manolo Blahnik shoes online and literally gazed at them for about ten minutes. They’re gorgeous. [Read more...]

Welcome to my first official pick of the week! I discovered the above shoe during a recent visit to the Nina showroom in NYC for their fall press preview. On Wednesday I attended the David’s Bridal Fall 2012 Press Preview in New York City. It was a certified treat! As I’ve commented before, I continue to be impressed by the enormous offerings DB carries at affordable price points in so many store locations. I recently traveled to Baltimore, Maryland to attend the launch of a fabulous new shoe line, Nael Coce. Nael Coce is the brainchild of PhD (yeah, you read that correctly) student, Sheena Young. Sheena’s mission was to create a line of footwear that was both fashionable and functional. This line actually offers “convertible” shoes — a pair of comfy ballet flats and pumps in one. Kinda genius, right? And there’s a few bridal options, too! [Read more...]
Happy Monday! It’s raining and dreary here in NYC today so I figured it was the perfect time to post my round-up of stylish shoes for any bride’s strut down the aisle. (I have all of you covered!) These shoes are guaranteed to brighten up your day regardless of what part of the globe you’re in because not only are they fly but they’re also all less than $100…you’re welcome.
Lots of cool stuff is happening in the bridal world this week and one is the official launch of Anthropologie’s new spinoff, Bhldn. Debuting on Valentine’s Day, the offshoot that I first mentioned here, presently offers gowns (for the bride and her attendants), footwear, jewelry, headpieces, lingerie and coverups.
