Black Bridal Bliss became aware of today’s featured wedding via Facebook. In three words: It is everything. So much soul. So much love. Watch and enjoy! And then watch it again and forward it to your friends.
We stumbled upon today’s featured video trailer online while finishing up research for another story and discovered a gem. It had to be shared here on Black Bridal Bliss! Courtney and Chris are a couple with [Read more…]
Those of you who follow Triple B regularly on Instagram are familiar with our daily “Morning Muse” posts. We recently highlighted the above pic and had to share it here on the blog too. Over the holiday season, news broke that actress Keshia Knight Pulliam and former NFL player Ed Hartwell were engaged. Then, just last Friday the woman who stole our hearts as “Rudy” on The Cosby Show officially announced she was a Mrs. on her popular podcast Kandidly Keshia! New hubby Ed joined her for the announcement. Get the scoop: [Read more…]
Walk down memory lane with us as we revisit the creative marriage proposal between Brett and Sonia of California. Besides it being heart-warming, romantic and a bunch of other warm and fuzzy adjectives, Triple B hearts most things that involve HBCU homecomings. Enjoy! [Read more…]
By now you’ve probably heard that Karli Harvey (one of the daughters of Steve Harvey) and Ben Raymond tied the knot earlier this fall. Now, check out the below video trailer of the couple’s big day. And head’s up: You may need a tissue handy for the touchy (and real) exchange between Steve and Karli around the 5 minute mark. Something about the way Steve shares, “I know” says a lot about their bond. It is a short yet powerful exchange. Enjoy! [Read more…]
One of the things we enjoy about weddings here at Black Bridal Bliss is that although there are many similarities in each, every single one is distinctive. Take the nuptials of Kesha and Steven of Maryland, for instance (we initially featured them in Tie the Knot Tuesday last year). While their wedding on the surface seemed classic and pretty traditional, it in fact was injected with several unique touches such as liturgical dancers during the ceremony and a surprise Latin-inspired first dance that even their wedding party didn’t know about! The best part? Their touching and relatable love story. Check it out:
This feature is extra-special for Triple B (well, every Tie the Knot Tuesday wedding is but…) because of the sense of community it displays. Bride Akida was honest about not having an active relationship with her biological father and therefore opted to be escorted down the aisle by her longtime swim coach and mentor, Jim Ellis. “I attended college on a swim scholarship largely because of him,” she shared. Ellis is the same swim coach that the film Pride was based on (actor Terrance Howard played him in the movie). It takes a village. Remember, Triple is is bigger than weddings. Enjoy today’s [Read more…]
Many of you are probably wondering what’s going on with Tie the Knot Tuesday. Rightfully so. Since BlackBridalBliss.com launched in April 2010, hundreds of couples have been featured and Tie the Knot Tuesday quickly became the most popular franchise on Triple B. My dream of showcasing real Black women in all their bridal bliss came true! Messages from both sexes flowed in from all over the world praising Tie the Knot Tuesday for showing them the possibilities of love and marriage when so many were saying it wasn’t possible for brown folks. Beautiful, right? Well, we’ve taken a small hiatus from TTKT as you know it. Here’s why: [Read more…]
After five years (whew!) of featuring awesome couples and their nuptials here on Triple B we’ve gotten quite a bit of content in our archives. Today we revisit an interview with our first Tie the Knot Tuesday couple, Cleo and Lyncoln Dujon. The Maryland couple first shared their insider videographer tips and tricks here. However, their insight — the couple comes clean on budgets and not initially agreeing on the need for a videographer — is still relevant so enjoy! [Read more…]
Last night the wedding of Love and Hip Hop reality television stars Yandy Smith and Mendeecees Harris aired during a two-hour special courtesy of VH1. The longtime couple are the proud parents of four children (two of whom Mendeecees brought to their relationship) and the lovebirds were sure to include them in their big day. Also present at the nuptials were a plethora of fellow Love and Hip Hop faves including Kandi Burruss, Ray J and R& B songstress K. Michelle who performed during the ceremony.
The bride and groom spared few expenses for the “fairy tale” experience including $90,000 for flowers [Read more…]

Confession: Before this morning I had no idea who singer Miranda Brooke or Cincinnati Bengals NFL player AJ Green were. But the twosome tied the knot on March 21st in a lavish Atlanta wedding complete with several dress changes, plenty of bridesmaids and groomsmen, a six layer cake, specially choreographed dances at the reception and enough crystals for an Elton John world tour. Yet, judging from the pics and videos flooding the net of this affair online, the nuptials of Miranda and AJ weren’t pretentious and gaudy — just a hearty celebration of two people in love who decided to spend the rest of their lives together and wanted to make the most of the monumental occasion their way.
The 24 year-old songstress and 26 year-old jock met on Facebook in 2010. The pair said “I Do” at ATL’s famed 200 Peachtree venue. Their first dance was to John Legend’s So High and the bride’s father even broke out a fresh pair of Jordans to cut a rug with his daughter during the winter wonderland-themed affair.
Take a look at the fun pics and video to judge for yourself. In the meantime, Triple B is sending a heartfelt congratulations to the newlyweds for a healthy and happy marriage! [Read more…]
