Last month my fiance and I took engagement pictures in our New York City stomping grounds. We chose the talented Kesha Lambert to capture the pics. The equally talented Charlene Armstrong did my make-up (I really like how she made my eyes pop!). My fiance — who I’m lovingly referring to as Mr. TK in this post — and I decided to take most of our e-session pics in and around The Cloisters in Fort Tryon Park, located in Inwood, NY. Inwood is just a stone’s throw away from Washington Heights in Upper Manhattan. The Cloisters are in my top fave places in The Big Apple partly because it isn’t on the radar of most folks the way Central Park is and I happen to like that. Fort Tryon Park is also where Mr. TK took me for what I thought was an impromptu date the day he proposed so it will always hold a special significance to us as a couple. I had a really hard time narrowing down selects for today’s (Not Quite) Tie the Knot Tuesday feature. I hope you enjoy the pics as much as we enjoyed taking them.
Triple B 2.0 just got even better, didn’t it?! Folks, I wish I could enter this contest. Why? Check out the sampling of Kesha’s work below. [Read more...]
I’ve been hearing disturbing stories from disgruntle newlyweds who were screwed (or just plain uninformed) while trying to obtain their wedding photos. To help you out, I knew just the person to contact. Kesha Lambert is a talented photographer who has brought smiles to many bride’s faces but she’s also a seasoned attorney! Check out my Q&A with the lady behind the lens and do forward this to anyone who intends to hire a professional photographer for any important upcoming event.
You may not have even said “I Do” yet, but chances are you’re already thinking of creative uses for that wedding gown post-reception besides paying for it to sit in storage. You can always go green and repurpose it like my friend Mo did, or you can wear it again for a fab photo shoot. (And of course you could do both depending on timing.) The talented Kesha Lambert posted pics of Philly newlyweds Tuere and Royce on Facebook recently and I couldn’t stop smiling at them! See why:
Remember this post spotlighting wedding and lifestyle photographer, Kesha Lambert? Well she’s back to share her insider knowledge on boudoir photos. This style of pictures can make a great surprise gift for a hubby-to-be as our Road to Mrs. blogger Nadine pointed out here, but they’re also a cool (not to mention empowering) a gift for your single self. Check out the gallery below for shots from one of Lambert’s recent shoots and be sure to read the captions with her informative tips on bringing out your inner pinup girl!
A few weeks back I discovered another fab wedding and portraiture photography resource on Facebook (Yep, even when I’m on FB I’m working.) and decided to put the biz in save. But when I viewed the latest selections from Kesha Lambert Photography of custom wedding albums, guestbooks and calendars — I had to immediately share this find with my Triple B fam. Oh and I can’t forget to mention her out-the-box e-session and boudoir images — gorge! I’m confident you will appreciate her eye and creativity as much as I did.
