Le Sutra Liqueur is available in four distinct flavors!

In the hair salon recently, another client offered me, her stylist and my stylist a sip of a new fruity liqueur named Le Sutra to get our opinions on an exciting venture she and her husband had just launched. Said salon has considerable clientele who work in the media, fashion/beauty and entertainment industries so there’s usually a good amount of networking going on between wash and sets. As previously mentioned, I’m not a big alcohol drinker but as soon as I saw the packaging of this liqueur, I was intrigued. That’s right, before I even tasted it! Why? The packaging was gorgeous and I immediately thought it would be perfect for a wedding and/or a bachelorette celebration.

Le Sutra is sexy, sophisticated and sweet. But it isn’t too sweet the way many liqueurs marketed to women tend to be. It has just enough buzz for a grown-up cocktail. You can drink it straight or mix it with a cordial of your choice if you prefer an extra kick. Le Sutra, which is sparkling and infused with premium vodka and white wine, is available in four yummy flavors: grape, strawberry, blueberry and peach. I tasted the strawberry and it was delish! But before I was impressed by the taste, the bottles had me enamored. They look like sleek fragrance or bubble bath bottles. I appreciate the creativity that went into designing them. I’m hoping to pop a few bottles of Le Sutra at my pending engagement party. Le Sutra comes in 2 convenient sizes 375ml: suggested retail $19.99 and 750ml: suggested retail $29.99 so it won’t break your budget. Use this nifty lil’ search engine to locate a retailer near you that carries Le Sutra.

Oh and last but certainly not least, the woman at the salon who initially offered me Le Sutra? Ahem, she just happens to be married to music mogul Timbaland. But she didn’t mention his name to me once. I was impressed by that. I’m equally impressed that this power couple is making moves in arenas where Black folks are underrepresented. (Most people haven’t a clue of how lucrative the alcohol biz is but that’s another post.) It gives me that extra push to move forward with the goals my fiance and I have together. Cheers to that!

Timbaland and wife Monique (pictured here on their wedding day) have been busy since getting hitched and Le Sutra is their latest collabo!

Have you tasted Le Sutra yet? Which flavor is your favorite?
