Cousin Mars thinks – Although I usually prefer a lady show off more leg, I’m digging this look. Do you want to know a secret about me? I’ve liked polka dots since Kwamé brought them to the hood circa 1990 (I feel old sharing this). With a skirt this loose fitting, I would want to see a fitted top to show off our differences and some sexy (and probably uncomfortable) heels. Actually, if she is wearing this outfit to her bridal brunch – maybe I couldn’t care less. The groom-to-be isn’t expected to suffer through this event, is he?
Venus thinks – She is ready for the bridal brunch! You can never go wrong with a midi pleated skirt. The look opportunities are endless. One can dress it up with a blouse and pumps or dress it down with a t-shirt and flats. I’m also a big fan of skirts with pockets. Sometimes you want to leave the tote in the car and only carry the necessities – phone, keys, and perhaps a credit card. In keeping with the bridal theme, I would love to see this look in white or a white skirt with a colored top.

I love this outfit but might want to jazz it up with color somewhere, maybe shoes or jewelry. It is definitely brunch worthy, good pick.
@SD – Thanks for commenting. I agree about the pop of color (not sure if that mint green object in her hand is a clutch) but I also like the sleekness of a head to toe monochromatic or in this case black and white look.
@Venus – I’m all for skirts (and dresses) with pockets, too. They’re kinda genius.

I have a skirt very similar to this one. Compliments are given every time I wear it. Good choice, but I guess I am biased.

This is a great look. And I agree that colorful accessory is the only missing thing. The big pattern helps the full skirt not look too ‘busy’.

Love, love, love this outfit! I agree with SpikesDtr, it could use a splash of color. Perhaps a bold necklace or a colorful shoe or purse would spice it up a bit. I would still rock this outfit any day, all day!!!
