Welcome Bride-to-Be Keisa and her fiance Vlad to the Black Bridal Bliss Family!

There’s a new bride-to-be joining the Black Bridal Bliss Family for our beloved Road to Mrs. blog! (WOO HOO) Keep reading to meet Keisa–and be sure to show her lots of Triple B love in the comments.

Hey everybody! My name is Keisa Johnson and I’m the new Road to Mrs. blogger for Black Bridal Bliss. I’m super excited to officially be a part of the Triple B team and to share my fun wedding planning process with you. Here’s a little back story on me and my fiance:

In July 2014, a few girlfriends and I attended the Beyoncé & Jay-Z “On the Run Tour” concert in Chicago. Jana, one of my college besties lives in Chicago, so I planned to meet her during her lunch break the day after the concert. The next day, my travel crew and I went to the restaurant to meet Jana. As we were waiting for Jana to arrive, one of my girlfriends noticed Jana walking through the restaurant front door with two men. Me, knowing with all the conviction in my soul that my friend would not bring any men to lunch without first notifying me so I could properly prepare, quickly resolved that the two men were purely random and not with her. Um, I was totally wrong! Jana did bring two of her co-workers with her. My travel crew left to do some shopping, and my lunch date with my college bestie turned into an introduction/blind date! One of those guys, Vlad, and I ended up becoming an item. Who woulda thunk it, right?

Fast forward to the early morning of December 25, 2015. Vlad awakened me by saying we needed to talk. To my surprise, a sweet proposal and beautiful engagement ring began my Christmas Day!

So here we are. Oh, and I live in St. Louis, by way of Kansas City and San Diego (forever a California girl), I am an attorney, proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and have a beautiful 10 year-old daughter named Ava and soon-to-be bonus daughter named Amira who is 12 years-old. Vlad and I are tying the knot on July 28, 2017 which may seem far off right now, but trust me time is ticking fast and there’s still lots to do. I’m looking forward to you helping me navigate this life-changing journey while documenting it all on Black Bridal Bliss. Be sure to check-in every Thursday for my weekly updates. Bye for now!
