Actress Sophia Vergara dazzled in this silver Marchesa gown, proving a busty woman can pull off a strapless gown if the bodice offers ample coverage like this one does.
Monday night’s MET Gala brought all the style, glamour, pomp and circumstance we’ve come to expect from the annual ball with a healthy dosage of “what the *?!# moments” for good measure. Here are the top five looks (plus a BONUS) that Triple B brides should look to for inspiration in preparation for their own big day:

Me at the David's Bridal Press Preview!
On Wednesday I attended the David’s Bridal Fall 2012 Press Preview in New York City. It was a certified treat! As I’ve commented before, I continue to be impressed by the enormous offerings DB carries at affordable price points in so many store locations. And whether you’re a size 2 or size 26, they have you covered. Even those trendier brides who choose to purchase their wedding gown from a boutique with more exclusivity can count on DB for a last minute accessory for a member of their bridal party. Here’s a snapshot of what you can expect from DB next season:

Wedding planner Fallon Carter shines in a jeweled headpiece and blinged-out earrings from Happily Ever Borrowed.
Triple B’s resident bride-to-be Jene is unable to post this week. (Quickly dodges bottles and shoes…) I know, I know — it sucks. I’m probably more disappointed than you but thankfully I’m making up for The Road to Mrs. being M.I.A. today by giving you the scoop on a fab bridal resource I think you’ll love!

Triple B's resident bride-to-be dancing the night away! Her teenage daughter and maid of honor thinks she's "spicy" and wouldn't you agree?
Success! God is good, and prayer works. My bridal party has been successfully outfitted. The second outing with my bridesmaids went better than I could have hoped. So well in fact, that within an hour and a half all three ladies were in agreeance, fitted and had their dresses ordered. Yay!

Jene with two of her bridesmaids during happier times...
Okay, it’s official. I had my first bride-to-be melt down moment. It has all been so easy thus far, that is until it came down to dress shopping for the bridal party. Can you say EPIC FAIL?

The Ambi Bridal line from Nael Coce! (l to r: Charm & Eternity)
I recently traveled to Baltimore, Maryland to attend the launch of a fabulous new shoe line, Nael Coce. Nael Coce is the brainchild of PhD (yeah, you read that correctly) student, Sheena Young. Sheena’s mission was to create a line of footwear that was both fashionable and functional. This line actually offers “convertible” shoes — a pair of comfy ballet flats and pumps in one. Kinda genius, right? And there’s a few bridal options, too! [click to continue…]

Bebe Goes Bridal!
Guess who the latest bridge designer line is to go the bridal route? Bebe! That’s right, joining their peers J.Crew and many other mall faves Bebe will soon offer gowns for those preparing to say “I Do”. Now you can grab a sexy top to wear for date night (or the club!) under the same roof as your wedding dress. All jokes aside, [click to continue…]

Soliloquy Bridal Boutique is taking the DMV by Storm!
Anytime I get the opportunity to feature Black female entrepreneurs on Triple B (which is done quite often), I get excited and today is no exception. Read all about
Soliloquy Bridal Boutique, the awesome brainchild of Savannah-native Miriam Liggett. This former corporate executive and fellow bridal junkie opened the doors of Soliloquy in Northern Virginia in November 2011 and the retail establishment is already all the buzz in the DMV (Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia) area. Find out why:
