Black Bridal Bliss (Triple B) is the ultimate online destination for Black brides, created in 2010 by award-winning lifestyle expert and content creator Bridgette Bartlett Royall. For too long, the Black bride was ignored by the multi-billion dollar weddings and events industry; perhaps due to inaccurate statistics that Black women don’t get married. Black Bridal Bliss continues to level the playing field and offers rich content via words, imagery and video for Black brides and newlyweds — from planning nuptials that are big to basic; budget to ballin’ and everything in between.
Through powerful images, insightful interviews and reported articles, Triple B celebrates, informs and inspires Black women on their journey through love, marriage and even motherhood. This unique platform was designed to showcase positive imagery for us by us. Over the past 10 years, Triple B has received coverage in PEOPLE, Teen Vogue, The Chicago Tribune, Refinery29, ESSENCE, Black Enterprise, The Root, HuffPostWeddings and others. We carefully feature some of the most intimate and sacred moments of a woman’s life. Whether it is a couple jumping a broom lovingly hand decorated by friends, a groom and his best man praying together before walking down the aisle or an 92 year-old family matriarch dancing to the Cupid Shuffle at a reception, it has been proven time and time again that our content touches people in ways far beyond the pomp and circumstance of a traditional wedding.
Triple B is a reliable resource for every facet of wedding planning: from engagements to pre-marital counseling to honeymoons. We highlight the nuptials of real couples in our signature feature “Tie The Knot Tuesday,” Q&As with seasoned event professionals, tips and tricks from bridal industry experts, guidance on how to stylishly get hitched without breaking the bank, plus candid advice from Black couples on what really counts (and what doesn’t) after saying “I do” round out our coverage. Through carefully curated events we aim to serve our audience well beyond the big day. Our mantra is “Triple B is bigger than weddings!”
