Last Monday night, the annual MET Gala took place and this year there seemed to be an influx of brown faces on the red carpet. Of course this is just perfect for Triple B! Sadly attending this

Newlywed Nicole Richie rocked the red carpet this year in this dreamy creamy Jason Wu number! While the sleeves are rock n' roll, the simple silhouette say intimate, backyard wedding.

fashion event is still on my life’s bucket list but I’m giving you the 411 on what gowns are wedding-day worthy anyhow  as I did last year. Shout out to the lovely ladies over at The Glamazons blog for their on-point (and hilarious) commentary. Enjoy the eye candy!

Jennifer Hudson in Vera Wang: Could the engaged singer turned actress be practicing for her own walk down the aisle? JHud is stunning in this confection of tulle that perfectly accentuates her (new) tiny waist. This gown is perfect for a risky bride as is or a traditional one in all white or ivory.
Salma Hayek in Alexander McQueen: Hayek has the right figure to pull off this gown so full-busted brides-to-be, take note. The floral detail in front offers just the right dose of sweetness.
Rachel Roy (with Amare Stoudemir) in her own design: The talented designer stepped out on the red carpet with her new biz partner and NBA star. I dig the subtle sexiness of this gown and could see it working for a black-tie, evening wedding at a loft or museum.
Keri Hilson in Versace: The Georgia Peach opted for a grey gown and I think she looks smashing in it but what totally reads bridal to me (despite the color) is the strategically placed layers of tulle that lead into the train. Gorge!
Newlyweds LaLa Vazquez (in Vera Wang) and Carmelo Anthony: LaLa's nude gown would be divine in white for a traditional and classic bride. The unexpected color at the waist is a nice dash of flair!
Serena Williams in Oscar de la Renta: I've seen the tennis star look better but if you lose the fascinator (they can be fab but this one reads matronly with the gown) and switch the bottom for a fabric with less texture like chiffon-- this look could be a fashionable bride's dream dress!

What are your thoughts on the red carpet looks at this year’s MET Gala? Would you wear a variation of any of these gowns on your wedding day? Who rocked the most bridal-esque hair and makeup? Leave me a comment with your thoughts.
