Have you checked out the debut special Weddings & Travel issue of UPTOWN magazine yet? What’s that…you haven’t? Well, what ya waiting for? Run to your nearest newsstand to pick up a copy! Triple B is in the issue twice and I couldn’t be more proud.

I’ve been in UPTOWN before as a writer, researcher and even appeared on the Contributor’s Page but when I saw Triple B’s mentions with my own eyes (stories constantly get cut from publications so I needed to physically see the issue) I got all warm and fuzzy inside. The issue contains a nifty section called The Gold Pages filled with a plethora of contact and background info for caterers, bridal salons, venues, photographers and pastry chefs in all the major U.S. cities — check Triple B out on page 116. And on page 40, I — along with bridal industry vet Xochitl Gonzalez (!) and others — dish on the bubbly to make your wedding even more memorable in the piece, What to Drink on Your Wedding Day.

The issue also contains a “real wedding” album that will put you in a Tie the Knot Tuesday frame of mind, a gorgeous fashion spread with The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Cynthia Bailey who also graces the cover and a surprisingly honest and heartfelt op-ed from Star Jones on the differences between weddings and marriage — think Marriage Matters. As a travel junkie, I personally enjoyed the Trip of a Lifetime story featuring movers and shakers like celeb chef Marcus Samuelsson and CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien.
