Happy Monday! One of our favorite newlyweds, actress Niecy Nash just landed her own reality show. She and her new hubby Jay Tucker will share an inside look at their lives as a new married couple with the world beginning in early 2012 on TLC. You should recall her fab bridal shower exclusive here on Triple B leading up to her actual nuptials which were taped for TLC. After over 5 million viewers tuned in to the funny diva’s wedding special last June, the network offered an 8 episode deal to the duo. Pretty good stuff, huh? Looks like Niecy is following in the footsteps on another popular newlywed, LaLa. While the show is guaranteed to be hilarious and offer a much needed balance to the current narrow portrayal of Black women on the small screen, I’m not sure if we need another reality tv show. I’m starting to fear that we spend so much time watching (and judging) the relationships of others…Is it healthy? Regardless I’m happy for Niecy because she continues to defy the stereotypes of a successful woman in Hollywood.
