I just love how more women are thinking out-the-box when it comes to their wedding day footwear. From cobalt blue Manolo Blahnik stilettos (a la SATC’s Carrie Bradshaw) to funky metallic platinum and gold platforms that could easily work for a night out with the girls, the present options of footwear to jump the broom in are virtually endless.
I recently learned of yet another stylish online resource for bridal footwear that will knock your socks off called Shoe Crush. Spelman College and Columbia University grad Lesley Elliott launched shoecrush.com in the fall of 2009 so the site is already a fave of fly fashionistas in the know.
But what many have been sleeping on is the Hitched collection. This section of the hip site is filled with chic, sophisticated shoes for the fierce bride and even members of her bridal party. The price points range from moderate to high so get in where you fit in. I’m crazy about the Badgley Mischka Carlo style in blushing pink. Remember, the great (and wallet-friendly) advantage to these shoes is unlike most conventional bridal pumps, you’ll actually want to wear them again and again. Pretty cool, right?
Even cooler, this is one crush your hubby-to-be won’t be jealous of!
Anybody knows me, knows that I’m cheap. My eyes light up when I spot a bargain or the ‘F word’ (F R E E), but when it comes to shoes, all bets are off. I’ll snag a great bargain, but if I see a fabulous pair of foot huggers (that actually fit my size 10.5, AA toe, AAA heel, flat feet), I can’t resist. The Badgley Mischka pair is hot. Reminds me of Stuart Weitzman’s Jardin (love Stuart!), my fantasy wedding shoe (http://stuartweitzman.zappos.com/n/p/dp/51468981/c/30649.html). Now I just need the guy to get down on one knee! Maybe wearing the shoes will motivate him…
I love the shoe choices. Good job with the selections and congrats on the website!
Lesley, Amber and Sheila at Shoecrush.com are crooks. Buyers beware and stay away from this website. I ordered a pair of Francesco Sacco shoes from their site and never received the shoes or a refund. I’ve filed official complaints with the BBB and other entities, but unfortunately I am still out over $700 and these scammers have yet to respond to my complaints.
@Fran – That is extremely unfortunate and I’m glad you contacted the BBB. Hopefully, you are reimbursed soon!
