Over the holiday season, news broke that actress Keshia Knight Pulliam and former NFL player Ed Hartwell were engaged. Then, just last Friday the woman who stole our hearts as “Rudy” on The Cosby Show officially announced she was a Mrs. on her popular podcast Kandidly Keshia! New hubby Ed joined her for the announcement. Get the scoop:
Keshia shared in the podcast that following a fun-filled Christmas spent in Georgia cabins with family, even more family joined her and Ed at their Atlanta home to bring in the new year. On Saturday, January 2, loved ones gathered for what they thought would be a New Year’s party to witness Keshia and Ed exchange vows. The intimate wedding took place in the couple’s living room! Many of the vendors, that included highly sought after ATL-based Jade Lee of Jade Lee Events, were surprised as well.
Keshia tells fans during her podcast that family bonds are extremely important to both she and Ed, explaining she has three siblings and Ed has five. Ordained minister Raymond Coleman officiated the couple’s ceremony and also ensured the duo received per-marital counseling which Keshia admitted is often underrated by engaged couples. Coleman was happy to do the deeds. He gushed, “There was so much love in that room. I wish I could bottle it up and give it away.”

Oh and there was/is a bit, okay maybe a lot, of chatter about the couple’s short engagement leading many to wonder if Keshia is pregnant. Then there were those questioning how Keshia could move on so quickly after seriously dating tv/radio personality Big Tigger. And there were even more folks suggesting that Keshia broke an unwritten “girl code” since she and Ed’s ex-wife Lisa Wu (who he has a son with) were apparently friends at one point. Our take on all this? Eh. As long as the child/ren involved are loved and taken care of and there’s no abuse going on, Keshia and Ed’s business is pretty much Keshia and Ed’s business. There could quite possibly be some shady stuff going on, but as we’ve learned, love is rarely as cookie-cutter as Hollywood has we’ve been led to believe.
Triple B wishes the couple a happy and healthy marriage!
