I’m not a fan of traditional favors — whether they are for birthday celebrations, retirement parties, bridal showers or even weddings. They tend to become dust collectors once I get home so for a recovering pack rat like myself favors can be dangerous. However when I stumbled across these neat nail polish bridal shower favors recently, I got so excited! They’re fun, fashionable, frugal and functional which equals win, win, win, win.
All one needs to create these favors is a nail polish of choice (get great neutral hue ideas here), tulle, a glue gun, twine and ribbon and/or a small floral applique. Michael’s, Hobby Lobby and Party City carry all of these craft supplies and are a DIY bride’s BFF. Some of the ideas below don’t even require the tulle, glue gun or appliques. Creating these favors can be a fun project for a bridal party, too. Well, along with music, ish-talking and a batch of chilled sangria of course.

Love them all.
This is an interesting idea for a ladies’ event. I fully support ‘utility’ favors.
These are cute…but what about the men?
What a wonderful idea! I think I will incorporate this in my celebrations!
Homerun! I’m glad you all like my Pick of the Week as much as I do.
@Jackie – I’m pretty sure these favors are intended for bridal showers which are generally only attended by women unless they are a Jack and Jill themed event.
Fabulous idea! I will use for one of my ladies event for my church.
@Aunt Zee – Go for it!
Looooooooove this! My bridesmaids already think I’m crazy but I will be doing this now along with the lip gloss I had already planned! I love lip gloss and polish!!!
Any ideas as to how I can purchase nail polish (such as OPI) in bulk online?
It would be nice to have a tutorial on how to make the tulle into the bridal veil. You know where I can find?
