How long have you been planning weddings?
I’ve been planning weddings in my mind since I can remember but I’ve “officially” been planning weddings for 8 years.  I founded Pink Pizza Events 3 years ago and have been on the ride of my life ever since: meeting amazing brides and creating breathtaking moments!

What’s one thing you wished more couples did on their wedding day?
I wish couples would take the time to really enjoy each other and this wonderful moment. The planning of a wedding can get so hectic and the most important thing is savoring each second. Yes, the pictures will last a lifetime but really remembering how you felt and being present is magical.

Name a bridal trend you’re over.
I think it’s so hard to pick one thing because it depends on how [the trend is executed]. I could say I’m over monograms in lighting over the dance floor  but then I recently witnessed some unique ways to keep it fresh. It is important to stay true to who you are as a bride and let your personality shine through because trends come and go.

Name a bridal trend you’re excited about.
I am so excited about coupe champagne glasses! They bring back an element of old Hollywood glamour that is timeless and elegant. These wide rimmed coupe glasses are so unexpected and cool.

I never work a wedding without my trusty…
Something pink of course. I turned my hot pink Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Tote into a wedding survival kit!  It has everything you could possibly think of and I’m always adding new things. As of  now it contains: a little sewing kit, foldable flats, mints, double-stick tape, mini flat iron, concealer, hairspray, edge tamer, safety pins, lotion, body splash, hair pins, mouthwash, tissues, tweezers, nail kit, earring backs, Tide pen, lint roller, tampons, hand sanitizer, Motrin and Advil.

The best part of my job is…
The best part of my job is being able to witness that moment when the couple sees each other for the first time. I especially love to see the groom’s face – so in awe of the beauty that’s in front of him. There is nothing like it in the world! But a close second would be when the new couple is introduced at the reception – the way they look at one another before walking out and seeing their family and friends on their feet welcoming them with so much love… for some reason that gets me every time.
