I’m officially back from my minimoon and the bridal dust is beginning to settle. There are certainly still tasks to complete — thank you cards, anyone? — but Mr. TK and I have had an opportunity to look back on our weddings (Yes, there were two!) and reflect. We’ve basically come to this conclusion: We worked dang hard together to pull off The Royall Union and we’re proud of our teamwork, we have so much more hard work to put in as we build for our future, we really dig each other (LOL!) and we’re blessed beyond measure. Although the road ahead of us seems daunting at times, we’re looking forward to getting familiar with the unfamiliar together. Which leads me to what are possibly my favorite wedding gifts of all. These gifts are from my 10 and 12 year-old nieces who I’m pictured with above.
Both of these gifts will eventually be framed and displayed in our home. Because after all the wedding planning and bridal dust has really settled, these two gifts pretty much sum up the point of it all anyway. And a child shall lead them…
WOW……..I am so very proud of my three girls! I constantly thank God for you and pray that He will continue to bless you. I love you dearly and know that you are my pride and joy.
I’m glad that both of you like their gifts. The girls are all things from, filled, and live love. It was such a joy to hear them discuss and brainstorm about the gifts to give their aunt and uncle. It warmed my heart to see my kids be so excited and happy for you two.
Your marriage is made from LOVE
May it continue to be filled with LOVE
And never loose the belief in LOVE
These girl have great talent and even greater love for their auntie. The new uncle now has two more females to love. I personally know that’s what he lives for.

Its super-cool to have neat kids in one’s life. It’s even cooler to let them know how special they are end encourage them in positive behaviors.
What a great family with a great future!
@Mommy – Thank you! I will never be able to thank you enough.
@Mahogany – Thanks much for sharing that. It warms my heart to know that they put so much thought and effort into their gifts. And thank you for allowing Mr. TK and I to steal them (even if just for a few hours) when we visit. ;-)
@SD – ;-) The mutual love and admiration btn those girls and their new uncle is undeniable.
@Bri – I love you and you sister more than you will ever know. I’m glad you enjoyed the wedding. And yes, shout to Grandma and the great aunts for pulling the fish fry together! WOO HOO
@Ronda – Thanks, girl! I definitely try to encourage their positive behaviors as much as possible. One thing that Mr. TK has taught me and continues to teach me is how much children value quality time over things.
Of course I’m “a day late and …” you know the rest. At any rate, those two gifts are PRICELESS! I never cease to be amazed at how thoughtful and talented these two great neices are – they exhibit wisdom far beyond their years. I can tell how much you will treasure having them in your life. What a blessing.
