Keke Palmer is one of those actresses I feel is underrated in Hollywood. Besides her acting chops, I’m partial to Miss Palmer because I met her a few years back while working at Essence and in addition to being talented she’s a sweetheart. So it is no surprise that when I viewed these adorable images of her on the red carpet, I immediately gushed. Keke opted to rock this look for the premiere of her last film Joyful Noise but it can totally work for a bride on her wedding day, too.
I love that it isn’t too neat — you know like those dated updos that require way too much brown gel. This style is sleek, sexy and sophisticated; everything I think most women want to exude on their wedding day. If your tresses are naturally not long enough to work this style solo; a little added hair will do the trick. Just remember to use hair that is as close in color and texture as yours. I strongly suggest you take this picture to your trusted hairstylist to execute for an important day like your wedding but for step by step instructions on recreating a similar ‘do, check out this article written by former Triple B contributor Nicole Melton. For more bridal panache, add a sprig of baby’s breath or a jeweled comb to the front or side of the top knot.
