I received an email from my colleague Andrea this week asking about unique bridesmaids gifts. Andrea was stuck and needed my advice on new ideas. So I decided to turn my response into a post. Everything in my bridesmaid roundup is less than $50! (By the way, Andrea is one half of the dynamic duo Travelistas. Be sure to check out her trusty travel tips!)
For the jet-setting bridesmaids:
Everyone likes traveling in style, right? This toile design passport cover (upper left) from Flight 001 is only $18 and will liven up any airport visit. Depending on your taste and budget, throw in a luggage tag or two as well.
For the beauty babes in your bridal party:
Your girls will quickly forget about the dress drama you put them through once they receive this Love Your Body “Flirt” gift set from Carol’s Daughter. It retails for $35 and includes three sweet smelling souffles in Almond Cookie, Ecstasy Shea and Ocean Shea in a cute reusable bag.
For your fashionista friends:
Purchasing a designer handbag for each of your bridesmaids is probably not an option but you can get them this adorable keychain from Coach ($38) and they’ll be just as happy. I fancy the pink floral design in the link but there is a plethora of styles to choose from.
For the domestic divas/book lovers:
You probably never considered a book as an ideal bridesmaid gift but I think that is what makes it so charming. You can personally sign the book which will make the gift even more special. The Get ‘Em Girls Guide to the Perfect Get Together ($13.59) will surely delight your bridesmaids who are looking to tap into their inner B. Smith. *Any book by Susan L. Taylor is sure to be treasured as well.
For those friends who have everything:
I admit that I’m a sucker for stationery and anything personalized but who wouldn’t want to receive notecards with their names on them? American Stationery has oodles of choices that won’t break the bank even though they look super sleek. This purple and green design is hot and for $36.95 you’ll get 25 personalized correspondence cards and 25 envelopes. Still out of your budget? No worries! They have plenty of less expensive yet equally stylish versions on the site as well.

I am getting married in September and I was trying to think of a good gift. I saw one of my friends pull out a “Purse hook” and I thought that would be perfect and unique. Check out:
