Great news for all you shoe lovers! Veteran fashion stylist June Ambrose (her client list includes Jay-Z and Mariah Carey) has collaborated with theme and the Home Shopping Network for a line of footwear. Unlike most celebrity stylists and high-end designer lines for mass retailers, one can actually imagine June wearing these shoes. (You guys know what I mean.)
While I don’t think any of the styles in this debut collection are ideal for most brides to wear on their wedding day (unless she’s really daring), these styles are quite ideal for all the other functions surrounding the modern wedding like engagement pictures, engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, etc. Plus there are styles that I can certainly see a bridesmaid wearing like the Faye Mixed Media Pump. Remember, wedding day shoes don’t have to come from predictable resources like David’s Bridal. Prices begin at $69 and the most expensive heel is $119. I haven’t actually tried any of these on so I cannot vouch for them being comfortable. But I believe HSN has a good return/exchange policy which is comforting when purchasing clothing or footwear sight unseen.
June will be on HSN live throughout Friday, March 22nd so check your local listings for info. Click here to view the entire collection!
Fun Fact: I first met June when I interviewed her for the now defunct OntheSneakTip.com — I was still a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology. At the time, June was making a name for herself styling Hype Williams music videos. That was over 15 years ago but when we bump into each other at industry events now she’s still the same June.
The shoes are gorgeous! I love the color featured here. I just saw Something borrowed, Something new! The dresses were beautiful!
Bridgette, watching you on TLC “Something Old Something New”…..DRESS IS AMAZING! You and your mom made me cry! Congratulations on the dress & wedding! ;) God Bless!
I finally saw your episode. Although I don’t personally know you, I feel like I do. You wouldn’t believe how proud I am of you. Keep up the good work.
BTW, these are some good looking shoes. Thanks
Thank you all so much!
