A lovely bouquet of calla lilies from the Vera Wang FTD Romanticist Collection

Flowers can really blow a wedding budget — it is not uncommon for brides to spend a few thousand dollars on floral arrangements for their big day. As I previously shared, I’ve allocated a very small portion of my wedding budget to flowers. Very small. However many brides are serious about having certain flowers for their big day and choose not to go the DIY route. So upon learning that bridal big dog Vera Wang teamed up with national floral resource FTD, I’ve been anxious to share the news here on Triple B!The Vera Wang Wedding Collection at FTD allows nearlyweds to select flowers for their nuptials for a fraction of the typical price — from practically anywhere in the country. Since prices of flowers typically fluctuate depending on time of year and availability, a large chain like FTD can offer some security to planning couples who are looking to purchase wedding flowers. The collection complete with crowd faves like roses, orchids and calla lilies, debuted with three distinct groups: Traditionalist, Romanticist and Modernist. (My fave is the modernist — particularly the purple calla lily bouquet.) FTD’s vice president of floral design Michael Skaff explains, “Our FTD member florists can offer the level of expertise required to deliver arrangements meeting the highest standard expected by Vera Wang.”

Prices start as low as $14.99 for a boutonniere in all three groups and $1,294.99 for a large centerpiece design in the Traditionalist group. If you try them out, be sure to come back to Triple B and share your experiences — good, bad or indifferent.
