MARS thinks – I’m learning that as I’ve grown, I have developed an affinity for tuxedos. Perhaps it is due to maturity or the fact that I have several stylish friends. Either way, I think Common is pulling off the “Grown Man Sexy” look with this outfit. When a man doesn’t have to rely on his pectorals or biceps to cause women to drool, that man is doing it big. My personality would have urged me to wear a color popping tie with this look, but I don’t think Common’s choice was a bad one. Other than fit, I can’t think of a way one can go wrong wearing a tux. When in doubt – go this route!
VENUS thinks – I’m convinced that Common looks great in anything. Ladies would you agree? I’m a fan of simple sophistication and that’s exactly what Common was giving at this year’s Golden Globes! Although I’m not too intrigued by the black/navy shirt and bow-tie, I would’ve preferred a variety of colors as opposed to just one. It’s the Golden Globes spice it up a bit! This is certainly great ceremony look for a groom especially for those who are afraid of a little color. (lol)
Lonnie Rashid (aka Common) looks great! I seriously dig navy formal wear since black is so predictable. The bow tie, the expert tailoring, the monochromatic color scheme…It all works. I can totally envision a groom rocking this look on his wedding day.
