As Seen at TWG: British bridal designer Stephanie Allin created this gorge gown!

I paid another visit to Brooklyn recently for the sake of Triple B. This time to check out chic boutique, (Hey, that rhymes!) The White Gown. Located in the trendy DUMBO section of Brooklyn, The White Gown has become a go-to shopping destination for brides in the Big Apple who crave individual attention of an Upper East Side bridal atelier sans the (often) stuffy feel while searching for their wedding dress.

During my visit, I met with Erica Chasco (see pic above), who is the Style Director of The White Gown. We immediately hit it off. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable about all of the designers in the store, inventory, alterations — which The White Gown does on site — and fit concerns of brides, Erica is a thrift shopping guru who hand selects vintage accessories for the boutique. We had a great time discussing jewelry and headpiece options to accompany my own vintage wedding dress. Bridal faves like Amsale and Jim Hjlem are carried at the Brooklyn retailer but up and coming designers like Stephanie Allin (see gown at top) get lots of love, too. The White Gown’s prices are moderate to somewhat high-end (this is not really the place to go if you’re looking to score a bridal bargain) and most bridal boutiques, the staff sees clients by appointment only. Make sure you inquire about The White Book to score major savings on all facts of wedding planning from caterers and florists to photographers and personal trainers.

Oh and as always, if you check out The White Gown after reading this post, remember to mention Black Bridal Bliss sent ya!
